A brief summary of Marilou O'Loughlin's art history.
Marilou O'Loughlin is originally from California. She studied at Ventura College, Modesto Junior College and California State University Stanislaus, in Turlock. Throughout these years she has maintained a strong interest in art and was encouraged to pursue visual expression professionally. She has been painting en plein aire for about 5 years now and paints landscape, floral, animals, and people. She has been in various galleries in the central valley of California and has won some awards on her paintings. She has taught art through the schools as well as private lessons and through the city hall department of recreation. She has recently immigrated to South Australia and has been living there for about 2 years. She has since joined a couple of galleries and has been painting again the new and exciting Australian landscape scenery. This site is for people who are interested in learning about oil painting. It is basically an information type website. She has also began teaching art lessons in her "shed/studio" in Australia and will be teaching both children and adults.
